Roblox invites applicants to join its first Parent Council to provide “real-world perspectives” and “play an active role”

Roblox has launched its first Parent Council.

Spearheaded by its new head of parental advocacy, Dr. Elizabeth Milovidov, the firm said the initiative will bring together up to 40 parents and caregivers from across the UK, the U.S, Europe, Canada, and Mexico to “play an active role in shaping how families use technology safely, responsibly, and creatively.”

The council will work closely with Roblox’s internal teams to “provide real-world perspectives on platform features, policies, and resources,” offer a “diverse range of viewpoints, increasing community representation and empathy across cultures and family experiences,” and help the firm develop “more effective, long-term safety and wellbeing initiatives by integrating parent feedback into ongoing product and policy development.”

“Our goal is for Roblox to be the safest and most civil place on the internet,” Milovidov said. “By collaborating directly with parents and caregivers, we can better understand their needs, improve our safety measures, and foster an environment that inspires creativity, learning, and meaningful connection.”

Parents and caregivers are invited to apply to join the council via the official website.

Roblox appointed its first head of parental advocacy back in May. Based in the UK, Roblox said the new role was designed “to strengthen support for families navigating digital safety and online wellbeing” and will be “building partnerships and tools to empower parents to help their children use digital platforms safely and responsibly.”

Roblox said its “top priority has been to promote the safety and civility of its users on the platform,” and pointed to its recently introduced parental controls.
